I'm absolutely thrilled that the Boho-style rainbows are trending. They make me so happy. I have so many boho rainbow things around my house, and they are my little happy thing. I really hope they never go out of style, but honestly, if they do, I'll still love them and decorate with them. I'm just that kind of person. :)
I was excited to experiment with this birthday cake, and I love how it turned out.
I made two different variations - one with a drip and one with a spiral on top. The cake with the white drip is definitely my favorite, but I still love them both. One ended up as a birthday cake for a sweet little girl, and the other ended up as a graduation cake for my sister-in-law.
If you're a baker yourself, you're probably a perfectionist. And, I normally don't LOVE all of the cakes that I create - but, I certainly love these two.
Both cakes are classic vanilla cake with traditional vanilla buttercream. Yum, and yum! There's nothing wrong with sticking to the basics.
Although, I think next time, I would totally do a confetti sprinkle cake. What a fun thing it would be to cut into a rainbow cake... to only see MORE rainbow!
With love & buttercream,
Hannah Catherine
