Golden 50th Anniversary

This sweet couple celebrated 50 years of marriage, and they requested a unique and special cake to celebrate with.

I had such a fun time putting it together, and I really love how it turned out.

We went with a classic vanilla cake for both tiers, covered in vanilla Italian Meringue Buttercream. For decoration, I left the top edges unfinished to add a bit of a rustic boho look and added some 24k gold leaf. 

Once at their anniversary party venue, the couple added their original wedding cake topper as a nod to their wedding day. How precious!
